HealthSource Medical Clinic continues to be open through the pandemic but we have converted most of your appointments to virtual visits (by phone or video). We are still seeing patients in clinic when needed – this will be arranged by your doctor. We continue to see infants and adults that are due for immunizations and some essential injections. If you are due for a Pap, we are now able to book you in to clinic for this. Dr. Canton, Dr. Chan, and Dr. Reich are available to book for IUD insertions. Cancer screening for breast cancer has resumed, and colon cancer screening for those at higher risk has also resumed. Please book a virtual appointment with your doctor if you wish to discuss this further.
We do not know when flu shots will be available. They are usually sent to us by Toronto Public Health mid-October. We will be seeing patients for flu shots when they become available. Please reach out by phone or by our messaging service if you require more information about this.
We are following the Canadian “Choosing Wisely” Medical advice on booking physical exams: https://choosingwiselycanada.org/family-medicine/
This means that we are not currently allowing patients to book physical exams in the absence of pressing physical symptoms. If you have a chronic condition such as COPD or high blood pressure and you haven’t been seen in the past year, please reach out to connect to your physician for a phone or video assessment in order to determine next steps.
We hope you had a healthy and safe summer.
